Business Analyst Optimisation Manager 

  • Coordinates and creates processes and operational plans for delivering our events and consultancy services, liaising with executive staff and reporting to the CEO;

  • Analyses internal processes and systems to recommend and implement process optimisation;

  • Recruitment and upwards management of staff, assists the CEO with workload and duties, making relevant changes in procedures and systems to support efficient working;

  • Develops plans, sets objectives and monitors and evaluates internal company performance; prepares and reviews operational and financial reports;

  • Develops and administers budgets, advises on financial planning and resource allocation;

  • Participates in the formulation of strategic and long-term business plans, assesses the implications for the organisation financial mechanisms and oversees their implementation;

  • Plans external and internal audit programmes, arranges for the collection and analysis of accounting, budgetary and related information, and manages the company’s financial systems;

  • Assesses and advises on factors affecting business performance

  • Negotiates prices and contracts with suppliers;

  • Arranges for quality checks of incoming goods and ensures suppliers deliver on time;

  • Develops and administers salary, health and safety and promotion policies;

  • Examines and reports on company and departmental structures, chains of command, information flows, etc. and evaluates efficiency of existing operations;

  • Considers alternative work procedures to improve productivity;

Essential skills/experience:

  • Minimum of a 2:2 Bachelor's degree or higher in STEM subjects

  • Minimum of grade ‘C’ GCSE level English or equivalent

  • A background and/or significant experience in the medical sector;

  • Experience with financial, human resource, office and events management in a RailTech startup

  • Experience organising RailTech hackathons involving travel during the hackathon

  • Experience organising RailTech conferences for senior rail executives

  • Experience working in the APAC or SEA region

  • Experience with Xero, Asana, Instagantt, 1Password, CharlieHR, Expensify, Entryless, Futrli, Google drive, Google sheets, Google scripts and Gsuites

  • Minimum of a working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Indesign & Illustrator

  • Experience with corporate branding suppliers

  • Experience with organising team bonding activities

  • Experience with office relocations of a minimum of 15 people

  • Must be willing to work on weekends and with flexible working hours

  • Experience managing a team of 7 or more people

  • Experience with managing crowds of 50 or more people

  • You should be highly organised and detail-oriented

  • Experience with project managing on deals with a value of £100,000 and above  

Desirable skills/personal attributes:

  • You will be the team’s “mama/papa”

  • You should be able to adapt to a dynamic working environment

  • You should be willing to get shit done
