Daye is a pre-launch female health technology startup. We’re developing a platform for women to take control of their health through improved products and services. We exist at the intersection between physical and digital products.
We are a team of 11 based in South London and have raised over £7M from top tier venture capital firms in San Francisco and London.
About the Role
You will work closely with Hannah, our Director of Operations, to ensure the everyday functioning of the business and team morale.
Our current focus is on launching the company’s first product and your role will be involved in thinking strategically through our launch cadence and specifics.
You will be responsible for a number of HR and culture-related tasks such as first round screening calls for job applicants, creating contracts and managing team onboarding.
On the finance and accounting side, you will be responsible for financial forecasting and demand planning, as well as updating our financial model.
You will look after smaller day to day activities, such as paying salaries and invoices.
You will also be responsible for working with our accountants to ensure line items are reconciled correctly and VAT returns are completed.
On the sourcing side, you will look after packaging sourcing, the building of contingencies and negotiations with suppliers.
The role will involve managing our new HQ in Bermondsey - everything from receiving deliveries, making sure the fridge is stocked, managing send-outs, to making the office look beautiful!
We’re introducing entirely novel standards in tampon manufacturing and own a lot of our machines and processes. Working at Daye means you will be directly involved in raising the standards of female healthcare. Our company is based on true product innovation. We never cut corners and are dedicated to bringing genuinely improved products to services to market.
As with all start-ups, the role will involve more than the job description and we are looking for someone who is willing to roll-up their sleeves and also support other members of the team where necessary. We are looking for self-starters, learners, and problem-solvers that feel comfortable operating under ambiguity and short deadlines.
What you will accomplish:
Manage the office space;
Help with recruitment;
Create employment contracts;
Onboard new team members;
Keep accounts up to date working with our accountants;
Pay invoices and salaries;
Keep financial model updated;
Manage financial forecasting;
Manage post and send-outs.
At least 2 years of operations experience;
Excellent communication skills;
Excellent Excel skills;
Shows outstanding attention to detail;
Passionate about women’s health care and bringing innovative products to market;
An interest in environmental sustainability;
