OVERVIEW

Decoded is looking for a Data Mentor to join our Mentorship Team. You will be responsible for supporting a group of apprentices through the Data Academy Apprenticeship by providing first-class assessment, coaching, mentoring and teaching that meets their aspirations and objectives to develop the skills of a data analyst whilst they work.

Our Data Academy delivers a government-funded Level 4 Data Analyst apprenticeship qualification to our employers’ apprentices. Our accelerated skills development programme focuses on both technical data analytics skills and transferable communication skills as it applies to the commercial context of our apprentices' day to day work. Learner outcomes include implementing the data analytics lifecycle, managing stakeholder requests for analysis, producing reports and dashboards as well as implementing advanced algorithms in the data modelling phase.

As a Data Mentor, you will support a group of apprentices as they progress through the Level 4 Data Analyst programme through a variety of interactions. You will engage in monthly workshops covering all elements of the programme, each led by an expert in their module. You will then help apprentices to identify opportunities to apply data analysis techniques to their day-to-day job and reflect on their learning by facilitating regular 1-on-1 sessions. A core part of the role involves reviewing learner progress, engagement and projects, providing formative and summative assessment throughout the course, helping to ensure the success of the apprentices at every opportunity.
