// Job overview

The Director of Business Development will be responsible for coordinating the business development activities including partnership, collaboration, licensing and sales activities. She/he will work closely with management to assist with search, identification, assessing and implementing business development opportunities. She/he must possess a high understanding of software development kit (SDK) licensing.

Work closely with leadership and cross functional members of the management team to drive and implement corporate strategy and long-range planning based on current portfolio opportunities and risks, financing needs and organizational capabilities. Assist in identifying portfolio, financing and/or organizational gaps and plans for how to best address them.

- Provides guidance, expert advice, and management of Business Development staff.

- Reviews contracts and acts as liaison with the CEO to resolve any issues impacting the process.

- Cultivates and maintains positive interpersonal relationships.

// Requirements & Skills

- 5+ years ' experience in business development, alliance management, and/or corporate strategy

- High studies degree in business with proven experience selling technology to third parties

- An advanced degree (MBA, M.S., MD, or Ph.D.) is a plus

- Hands-on experience successfully supporting the evaluation, negotiation, and closing a variety of large and complex licensing and/or partnership transactions

- Excellent relationship building, presentation and communications skills

- The ability to influence and work successfully with varied audiences

- Energetic self-starter, results oriented and the ability to work effectively in an entrepreneurial environment

- Passionate and self-motivated to assist with driving deals to a successful conclusion and to deliver quality results

- Provides guidance, expert advice, and management of Business Development staff.

- Incumbent must be able to research issues (contractual, technological, and financial) and make cogent recommendations in an expeditious manner.
