THE ROLE

You'll be building out new features for the front end of our platform and working alongside the design and product teams to create an amazing user experience for millions of students around the world.

You will be joining as a member of a small product & technology team and as such you will have a defining role in the decision making process about how we develop our platform moving forwards. We’re building out the team over the coming months so you’ll also be involved in helping to shape that that team looks like.

You should have a love for crafting beautiful, well-tested code, a sense of good engineering and architecture and the desire to to ship things fast.

We build our products for everyone, so exposure to developing for accessibility standards and an understanding of cross browser/device implementation challenges would be advantageous.

EXPERIENCE

Essentials:

  • HTML and CSS

  • Modern JS web frameworks.

  • Source control

  • Testing frameworks

Nice to haves:

  • Accessibility

  • Cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP)

  • Continuous integration & deployment

  • Design systems and tooling

  • Docker

  • Modern front-end build pipelines and tools

  • Open Banking

  • Scripting languages (PHP, Python)

  • SVG animations

Location

The role is based in our London office (near Liverpool St & Spitalfields) but we are very flexible about remote working.
