XenZone is on a mission. We are finding ways to use technology to create mental wellness for all. We could use some help on the front end of things at the moment, so that we continue to create great experiences for our users (many of whom are children in crisis.) We like to hire compassionate, focused software engineers who want to join a positive, growing team that cares about things like TDD, simple design, frequent releases, walking meetings and stemming the rising tide of anxiety and depression in our society.

We've been working with local councils since 2005, and already help over 50,000 young adults and children every month, through services like Kooth.com. There are huge opportunities ahead and we’d like to redefine society's approach to mental wellness.

You’d like to;

  • Regularly release great software

  • Help us build empathetic, reusable front end systems for complex web applications, thinking about things like scalability and performance

  • Have the freedom to learn and experiment with the latest tech

  • Work in a complex, regulated domain

  • Be part of an engineering environment (13 permanent employees, growing by three) built to get the best out of technologists

  • Work on products that help humans when they’re having a tough time

We think you can help us if;

  • You’re really comfortable with front-end JavaScript (ES2016), React and Redux. You get your kicks from HTML, CSS, thinking about cross-browser compatibility, layout and accessibility

  • And have some exposure to reusing backend services using things like TypeScript, Node, PostgreSQL, Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes

  • You’ve either shipped world-class products in a regulated industry (eg. fintech or healthtech) or would like to learn how to

  • And you’re looking for a pragmatic, agile/lean environment where people take responsibility and love getting things done

XenZone work with a massively diverse set of user needs, thinking about the future of mental health. We believe the more inclusive we are, the better our products and services will be. We’ve created an environment where everyone can bring their whole selves to work and we’re proud that our engineering team is currently 70% people who are historically under-represented in tech. We’d love it if you applied for one of our roles.
