The Role

Harper is experiencing an exciting growth phase and is seeking a talented developer to join the tech team, and play a fundamental role in building a centralised platform which will support the scaling of

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of modern Javascript including ECMAScript 5+ / TypeScript
  • Proficient in Angular (2+ years)
  • A ninja with HTML & CSS (SASS/LESS)
  • Working knowledge of NodeJS
  • Knowledge of REST APIs and how they work
  • Browser support, limitations and quirks
  • Nice to haves:
    • Git (or other version control system)
    • Frontend build tools (Webpack/Parcel)
    • GraphQL
    • Ruby/Python/PHP/Go/Rust


  • Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
  • Develop and manage well-functioning applications
  • Write effective APIs
  • Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
  • Create security and data protection settings
  • Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
  • Write technical documentation
  • Develop new user-facing features
  • Design client-side and server-side architecture
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
  • Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end services
