We’re making the coverage easy to understand and the policies easy to buy. We want every one of our customers to know exactly what’s covered and what’s not. Based on many hours of customer research, we are confident that they’ll love us. But based on our plans to rapidly disrupt insurance markets, our competitors won’t.

We aren’t alone either. We’re backed by smart people that give us the help (and cash) we need to bring our strategies to the market and take on the big guys who spend a fortune each year on televised lizards and agents.

We are a small, passionate team working within a fast moving startup environment. We strive to create the best possible experience for everyone who uses our products - in an industry where all interactions (online or other) have rarely been enjoyable.

With most of the build work done, we’re launching in Q1 2019. We now need a growth marketing enthusiast to help light the fuse.

THE ROLE

We've got some big, new product development plans and we're looking for an experienced growth marketing guru to help spread the word across the United States.

As a customer champion within the business, your role will be to lead, develop and execute digital marketing strategies and tactics. You will take the lead in marshalling a multi-disciplinary team in their search for product-market fit, and provide input into all customer communications.

With serious scale in the near-term ambition, you’ll be tasked with developing strategies to drive both awareness and conversion in an industry where grabbing attention is a serious challenge and products are (so far) rarely purchased online.

We’re focused on finding someone who can take a fledgling product and make it sing to consumers. Learn by failure, but learn quickly. Let your creative side shine and show us how to speak to an emerging market. We’ll help to plot a course with analytics, but your strategic direction is key.

We care most about talent and attitude, and will craft the perfect role for you based on your existing skills and how you’d like to develop.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive the evolution of the brand through experimenting with marketing campaigns.

  • Develop the go-to-market strategy and integrated plan for state-by-state rollout.

  • Plan creative marketing campaigns, and oversee their execution to achieve growth goals.

  • Help build a small team of marketing and creative ninjas as we scale.

  • Communicate your strategies to key stakeholders.

  • Inform the scope and design of iterations, based on consumer insight.

  • Manage budgets and invest company resources wisely.

  • Be a leader in shaping and realising the long-term consumer vision.

  • Kick-start initial digital and social user acquisition at launch.

  • Commission consumer research, usability testing and generative discovery work.

  • Work closely with customers, designers, engineers and product-owners.

  • You have strong communication skills and build great relationships within a team.

  • You crave to be part of a strong, entrepreneurial and creative team.

  • You are willing to get your hands dirty and ‘hustle’ without big agency budgets.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience leading digital marketing strategies in a retail environment.

  • Experience in key US marketing channels.

  • Some experience working with early stage startups or emerging brands.

  • Some years of high impact marketing strategies and memorable work examples to prove it.

  • Ability to contribute to a work environment that is high performance, fun and encourages active decision-making and considered risk-taking.

  • Ability to travel on occasion.
