Over the next 2-3 years the Colart group is going through a revolutionary transformation with a focus on becoming a lifestyle business. We’re looking for a Principal Lead Developer to champion our web projects for our brand sites.
About the role…
In this influential role for the business, we’re looking for a Principal Lead Developer to join our digital team to work on the development of new websites for each of our brands. Using WordPress as our content management systems we will be building state of the art e-commerce enabled websites that connect to our back office platforms. We’re always looking to push boundaries within the industry, so we’ll want you to use your expertise to help us deliver a fantastic website to our consumers that engage and inspire them whilst providing fast, slick, user-friendly content and e-commerce.You will be working within an agile team of 8 performing a key role in designing and developing WordPress plugins and themes and integrating with a variety backend APIs.
A bit about you...
You’ll have a wealth of experience within WordPress and PHP software development and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment. You’ll have a real attention to detail and the gumption to hit the ground running from day one. We work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, so the ability to think on your toes is needed. You’ll come with a bunch of ideas that you’ll work on implementing with us. You’ll be incredibly self-motivating and have the ability to take ownership of your role and work independently when needed. Not to mention, you’ll have the confidence and knowledge to lead your peers towards successful projects.
Some of the key experience and skills you hold will be:
4 years+ experience as a developer
Excellent WordPress and PHP.
Strong MySQL experience.
Experience working with API’s to integrate with multiple systems
Experience of Git, JIRA, devops, AWS a bonus but not essential.
