Salary: £200-250 per day depending on experience (no extra time)

Tech City UK is seeking a learning creator to work on the Digital Business Academy (DBA). The DBA is an online learning platform that gives aspiring entrepreneurs the skills to join, start or grow a business. The platform was launched by the UK government in 2010 and is currently used by more than 16,000 people.
But we need your help. While we have masses of brilliant content, we want to make it simpler, more interactive and shorter. We want to turn our 11 long courses into a series of fast modules each focussed on a single skill. You would be responsible for working with the current content as an instructional designer, making editorial decisions together with the Learning Lead. This is an opportunity for front-line learning design. You will be writing content, editing video and image and authoring learning modules.
We want you to take ownership of this task from day one. We expect you to be comfortable breaking down content, writing learning in a modern, engaging style and designing to a set of instructional guidelines from our Learning Lead. You will love creating exciting, simple learning complete with visuals, video content and interactive elements. Our learning will use Adapt so an understanding of this framework is a big plus but if not we would need a quick study who can learn on their own.
The DBA team consists of a head of product, learning lead, tech lead and part time UX & designer.
Design and write modules using content from exiting DBA courses
Create eLearning modules using a content authoring tool
Source images and edit video content to accompany learning modules
Join daily KANBAN stand-ups and weekly pre-planning, planning, retros and showcases
Demonstrates a minimum 4 years experience of learning design, scriptwriting and/or training needs analysis.
Track record of taking ownership for the quality of the learning design throughout production and in the finished product
Evidence of writing engaging, simple learning copy for a broad, non-specialist audience
Comfort working independently to a style and content brief
Understanding of alignment, learning objectives and related learning terms
Worked with content authoring tools and/or eLearning frameworks
Able to quickly source and attribute images and conduct basic edits to video
Favourable skills and experience
Prior use of Adapt learning framework
Instructional design experience
Understanding of the UK tech and startup ecosystems
