We’re increasing the number of people in our marketing team - you’ll help us by developing a strategy to engage our three communities, through social media, partnerships and PR.
You’re creative yet detail-oriented and like getting things done. You’re collaborative yet autonomous and enjoy being given clear targets and the freedom to develop your own tactics. You’re obsessed with understanding your customers, playful in your attempts to deliver to their needs, daring in execution and adaptable in your ability to create highly engaged communities and drive exponential growth.
You want to be more than just a community expert, copywriter or marketeer: you love finding creative ways to sell products and services; you can see there’s a problem with digital skills education and you’re excited to form part of the solution; and you want a platform to accelerate your growth as a person and a professional.

There are 3 types of work in this role (in prioritized order):
Working with the Makers Academy applicants, alumni and hiring partners to create a happier, larger, more engaged and higher quality community
Manage our social media channels both B2B and B2C.
Build relationships with industry journalists; creating, executing and measuring media campaigns.
When doing (1), you’ll be:
Supporting the Makers Academy community through events, newsletters, and promotional content.
Working with the rest of the MA marketing team to create compelling social campaigns aimed at driving a higher volume of applications from B2C and B2B markets.
Leveraging our community to support current and future marketing campaigns
When doing (2), you’ll be:
Engaging with messages across all social media channels (Facebook, LinkedIn & Twitter)
Analysing new ways of driving applications and new business through social media
Being the first point of contact for future applicants and hiring partners
When doing (3), you’ll be:
Ensuring MA is well represented in the media
Creating media campaigns aimed at growing the Makers Academy brand
Measuring brand growth and brand perception
Some other skills that would be nice to have:
We partner with lots of companies to run scholarships… Experience building brand partnerships would be great
If you have design skills, or are interested in developing your design skills, we definitely won’t complain
It would be great if you had at least *some* understanding of tech / tech education / the tech industry… But it’s not a dealbreaker.

Salary: Negotiable depending on previous (relevant) experience. After that, you'll set your own salary.
