GrantTree is the coolest company you’ve probably never heard of. We’re a small and friendly workforce and we love our jobs. Our home is in the beautiful Treehouse workspace in Clerkenwell (a project we set up).
As our Office Manager, you will be central to the smooth running of the business. By fixing problems before anyone is affected, and by looking after the little things that matter a lot, you will enjoy being one of the stars of our company.
You have proven experience as an office manager or in another administrative role
Your time-management, prioritisation and attention to detail are second-to-none
You like solving problems and are willing to get stuck into any task, big or small
You are organized, unflappable and have a sparkling approach to people
You have shown you can build relationships and handle difficult situations
You are comfortable working independently - you will be an important part of GrantTree, but as a “team of one” you will need to organise all your work for yourself
A typical day
We know that a great Office Manager is the glue that holds an organisation together. You look after the stuff most people don’t think about, that helps us all be happier and more effective at work. This includes:
Maintaining and improving the layout of our workspace
Making sure the office is well stocked and all the equipment is in working order
Dealing with day-to-day finances, such as paying suppliers and salaries, liaising with our external book-keepers, and being the go-to person for queries on pensions and benefits
Ensuring our company records are up-to-date, including looking after joiner and leaver admin
Organising birthday cakes, company socials and other fun activities
Keeping an ear to the ground to figure out any other things that could make working at GrantTree better

We believe that people should be rewarded fairly for the work they do. At GrantTree there is transparency over salaries and the way we work them out. For this role, this is likely to be around £35k. We also have an annual profit sharing scheme for the whole team.
Aside from money, we offer a great environment where you can be yourself. We want you to develop your skills and fulfil your potential. We have a flexible approach to working, and some of our staff work remotely most of the time. You can also take up to 6 weeks as holiday.
