Wine education startup, The Wine List is making its first hire. This is an opportunity to learn quickly, build a company culture, and help shape the future of the product.
Today, if you want to learn about wine, you can take a professional course, or read a book. The former is stuffy, the latter is passive.
Wine is the UK's most popular alcoholic drink, and 6m of those drinkers want to learn about wine but don't know where to start. The Wine List helps solve that problem by offering the chance to learn in a engaging, structured, and non-pretentious way.
Every month, customers get a wine course delivered to their door, along with two great bottles of wine to practice their new techniques on.
We have just raised our first round of fundraising having completed a MVP in late 2019. The founder was previously head of growth at Thriva, and before then Pact Coffee.
