Operations & Marketing Executive
Public was founded in 2016, to build a world leading ecosystem around govtech. We aim to support tech start-ups who want to transform the public sector, including through a co-working space, venture capital fund, accelerator programme and policy lab. We’re still in stealth mode, and are planning to launch publicly in the next few months.
The team of 5 is now looking to recruit an Operations & Marketing Executive, who will play an integral role as we build up to launch.
The Operations & Marketing Executive will have the opportunity to get involved right across the business, including:
Support the company’s promotion strategy e.g.:
Developing content for the company’s blog, website etc, drawing on the team and the company’s network.
Planning and implementing social media campaigns.
Researching new media opportunities.
Assisting the delivery of events, including managing invitations and liaising with attendees and sponsors.
Assist the Head of Platform in planning and launching Public’s accelerator programme, e.g.:
Researching startups relevant for the accelerator, and assisting with company recruitment.
Assisting with relationship management of sponsors, private and public sector advisers, and startups.
Managing accelerator logistics, including handling venues and liaising with contributors.
Representing Public at relevant events.
Help the Head of Platform to write the Public Accelerator Playbook, encompassing best practices of the programme.
Support the efficient and effective operation of the company, including assisting with budgets and planning.
Skills / experience
The right candidate will be self-motivated and a team player. In addition to strong oral and written communication skills, you will have experience of using CRM, social media and email marketing tools. You will also be confident using Excel and Powerpoint, and will have excellent attention to detail. Your organisational skills will be second to none and you will be able to multitask confidently and prioritise effectively.
