We now have an opening for an exceptional Python developer to work with us full time, although long term contract will also be considered.

You should be a self-starter with a go-to attitude and plenty of initiative. We are looking for an excellent communicator, including a proven ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical people. You will be collaborating with other members of our technical team to deliver compelling user-facing products.

You will be part of a team responsible for creating our IoT interface. This includes working with our sensors and the cloud using ReSTful API's, creating robust real time algorithms for the sensors and batch processing.

Excellent problem solving abilities are also important in the role, particularly with regard to identifying and resolving performance and scalability issues.

Key Requirements:

4+ year’s software development experience using Python

Experience using Debian Linux

Experience using SaaS on AWS or Azure

Experience using RESTful APIs

Strong computer science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms, OOP

Experience in SQL and NoSQL

Passion for writing testable, clean, modular, well-commented, readable and reusable code

Ability to think out of the box with a can-do attitude to get things done efficiently

Ability to Multi task

Ability to work in agile environment

Top academics (BSc, MSc) in computer science, engineering, computational physics, mathematics or another field with strong computational curriculum

Nice to have:

C++, JS(Node, Angular2+)

Experience in embedded linux

Experience using MQTT

Experience in networking
