Company Introduction:

Evode Group entered the billion dollar on-demand marketplace with the launch of two retail e-commerce brands, Merchmaker and Choosey. Each specialises in personalised consumer products, produced on demand from receipt of order.

Choosey is breaking ground with printed greetings cards, which reach the next level in personalisation: personal video messages. The role would be focused on developing the Choosey brand.

We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Senior Back End Developer, with experience building both back and front-end services. The successful candidate will enjoy a fast-paced environment and the challenge of developing the Choosey website to reach its potential growth, whilst supporting the Marketing Team to provide our customers with an outstanding experience.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead the development, testing and deployment of the site’s back end

· Develop and optimise modules for the Choosey website

· Collaborate and effectively communicate complex ideas with team members and senior stakeholders

· Work closely with Senior UI / UX Developer to implement the designs on the website

· Support, monitor and maintain the current website (Magento Updates, Optimising Database, Bug fixes, etc.)

· Maintain a high standard of code quality whilst balancing trade-offs to deploy services and features in a timely manner

Experience Required:

· Advanced knowledge of PHP and MYSQL

· Experience developing for Magento 1.9

· Experience using Git and associated tools e.g. Bitbucket, GitHub.

· Great communication skills and the ability to interact with other departments, such as Marketing and Product Teams

· Understanding of agile software practices

· Experience in using Continuous Integration systems such as Bamboo and Jenkins

· API integration and design (Desirable)

· Experience working in a start-up (Desirable)

Salary range £40,000 — 50,000
