We are on a mission to unlock the next generation of human performance data by reinventing the data acquisition form-factor from lab-based, expensive, and costly, lab-based, equipment, to small, awesome-to-use, consumer hardware products. Our first product, the FLOWPATCH has prosumer athletes in mind, giving them never-before-available data: total body fluid and electrolyte loss. Our partners include some of Europe’s leading sport supplement brands, a pro-cycling Team, and a number of TeamGB athletes..
Our full-stack approach (developing and engineering everything from the skin’s surface to the cloud) gives us complete control. Within 18 months we are already serving some of the world’s best athletes. The future of human performance is a consumer hardware-enabled one, let’s get to work.
We are looking for a software engineer to join the team at FLOWBIO, with a focus on building out the companion app. By joining us at this early stage in our journey, you will be able to contribute to the technical direction of FLOWBIO and get involved in developing our mobile app, integrating with our partners and managing cloud deployments. You will be able to contribute broadly and be expected to collaborate closely with the engineering and product teams as they solve a variety of technical and UX design challenges. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow in a wide variety of ways.
We are looking for a creative, self-motivating team player who is excited to work in a fast-paced environment. To be successful, the role requires a unique mix of tech and soft skills, to be mastered in an unstructured environment. People who will succeed will have a unique opportunity to steer the current and future direction of the software engineering team. Whilst a range of technical skills is essential, the candidate is expected to have a 1st class or 2:1 honours degree in computer science or similar plus 2-3 years experience. Commercial experience in lieu of a degree will also be considered.
Current technical stack: .NET 6, PostgreSQL, Swift, React, AWS. However, this is prone to change and we always take the best route to success for each piece of development work. Experience in these technologies is not essential though exposure to at least one would be preferred.
