We're looking for an enthusiastic, and highly organized software engineer with a background and interest in PHP and Python development, and API-driven systems. You will work with a Project Manager and a talented team of web developers and designers producing apps for iOS, Android, and Mobile Web platforms. You will be responsible for three areas of the successful delivery of our apps to our clients: First, API Integrations consuming and transforming client data from various formats and creating PHP or Python-based transformation libraries.Second, configuration and setup of the apps to enable authentication endpoints and display the data in a useful and informative way for the event app user by changing configuration parameters. Third, develop microservices to map and encapsulate 3rd party business logic in a secure way that can be passed into the Eventbase platform. Successful API Integration Specialists are highly organized, excellent multi-taskers and contributing to the successful delivery on multiple client projects at a time. You thrive in energizing environments and can work well in a team but are also able to get things done working independently. This is a full time position based in our London office.

  • Analyze 3rd party API documentation and endpoints (typically REST / SOAP)
  • Build PHP / Python based transformations for different data-types (attendee, schedule, location etc.)
  • Configure the app using SQL queries and settings in the Eventbase CMS tools
  • Use Git / Bitbucket for version control
  • Implement client change requests
  • Collect statistics and data for clients
  • Develop microservices to connect with 3rd party systems
  • Provide client support in the form of onsite or on call support
  • Attend cross-functional meetings, scrum and standups


  • Bsc. in Comp. Sci or similar degree or equivalent training
  • 2-3 years of experience
  • Solid understanding of SQL, data models, databases and data manipulation (working with MySQL and/or SQLite)
  • Software engineering knowledge of programming in PHP and Python
  • Knowledge of API-driven development using tools such as Postman
  • Absolutely familiar with configuration management using git
  • Knowledge of Microservices architecture patterns and Kubernetes
  • A real interest in mobile app technology and/or project management
  • Proven ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to thrive in an exciting environment where change is the only constant
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Knowledge and awareness of security concerns is important
