These terms of use (together with the documents referred to in them) tell you the terms on which you may make use of the 3Beards Jobs Board at http://unicornhunt.io (“Site”). Use of the Site includes accessing, browsing, job posting and applying for jobs via the Site.

Please read these terms of use carefully before you start to use the Site, as they will apply to your use of the Site.

By using the Site and the services available on it, you confirm that you accept these terms of use and that you agree to comply with them. If you do not agree to these terms of use, you must not use the Site.


These terms of use refer to the following additional terms, which also apply to your use of the Site:

  • Our Privacy Policy, which sets out the terms on which we process any personal information we collect from you, or that you provide to us. By using the Site, you consent to such processing and you warrant that all information provided by you is accurate.

  • Our Cookie Policy, which sets out information about the cookies we use on the Site.


We may revise these terms of use at any time. If we make an amendment to these terms of use, we will post the revised terms here with an updated effective date. If we make significant changes to these terms we may also notify you by other means such as sending an email or posting a notice on our home page. If you continue to use the Site, you are deemed to have consented to the revised terms.


The Site is owned and operated by 3 Beards Limited (“3Beards” or “we”).We are a limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 08131666 and have our registered office at 3 Ripon Road, London N17 6PP. Our VAT number is GB153715024.


The information and services available on the Site are provided for the sole purpose of enabling employers seeking to recruit staff directly (rather than through a third party recruitment agent) to display employment opportunities to jobseekers. You may use, print and download information from the Site for these purposes only and for no other personal or commercial purpose. You may not otherwise copy, display, transmit or distribute any material from the Site.

You must not modify the paper or digital copies of any materials you print off or download from the Site in any way, and you must not use any illustrations, photographs, logos, video or audio sequences or any graphics separately from any accompanying text.

Our status (and that of any identified contributors) as the authors of 3Beards Content (defined below) must always be acknowledged.

If you print off, copy or download or otherwise use 3Beards Content in breach of these terms of use, your right to use the Site will cease immediately and you must, at our option, return or destroy any copies of the materials you have made.


You may access and use the Site anonymously as a visitor. If you wish to use the Site and our services to post job adverts, you will need to register as an employer.

The Site is made available free of charge. However, please be aware that if you access the Site from a mobile device, your mobile network operator may charge you a data usage fee. We recommend speaking to your mobile network operator for more details about these types of fees.

Whilst we try to ensure that the Site is available 24 hours a day, we do not give any guarantee that the Site, or any content on it, will always be available, uninterrupted or error free. Access to the Site is permitted on a temporary basis. We may suspend, withdraw, discontinue or change all or any part of the Site without notice. We will not be liable to you if for any reason the Site is unavailable at any time or for any period.

You will also ensure that all persons who access the Site through your internet connection are aware of these terms of use and other applicable terms and conditions, and that they comply with them.


The Site, the domain name (unicornhunt.io) and all content provided on the Site and through the services that we provide on the Site, including, without limitation, the Site text, graphics and images and all other materials, information and documents on the Site, excluding the content provided by employers and other user generated content ("3Beards Content") are provided to you by 3Beards and are the copyrighted and/or trademarked work of 3Beards or 3Beards’ contributors.

We own or are licensed to use all intellectual property rights in the 3Beards Content and the Site. We grant to you a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use and to display the 3Beards Content solely for your use in connection with the Site and as otherwise permitted under these terms of use.

Except as expressly permitted in these terms of use, you have no right to modify, edit, copy, reproduce, create derivative works of, reverse engineer, alter, enhance or in any way exploit any of the 3Beards Content in any manner. The licence granted to you under this section 7 to use the 3Beards Content terminates automatically, without prior notice to you, if you breach these terms of use in any way. Except for the limited rights granted hereunder, you acknowledge that you have no right, title or interest in or to any 3Beards Content.


You may use the Site only for lawful purposes.You may not use the Site:

  • in any way that breaches any applicable local, national or international law or regulation;

  • in any way that is fraudulent, or has any fraudulent purpose or effect;

  • to send, knowingly receive, upload, download, use or re-use any material which does not comply with our rules in the Employer Terms and Jobseeker Terms below;

  • to transmit, or procure the sending of, any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising or promotional material or any other form of similar solicitation (spam); or

  • to transmit any data or send or upload any material that contains viruses, trojan horses, worms, time-bombs, keystroke loggers, spyware, adware or any other harmful programs or similar computer code designed to adversely affect the operation of any computer software or hardware.

You also agree not to:

  • use spiders, robots or other automated data mining technologies to catalogue, download, store or otherwise reproduce, duplicate, copy or distribute any content available on the Site;

  • frame or otherwise embed portions of the Site on any other website or in any way alter the appearance of the Site (including when linking the Site from another website); or

  • access without authority, interfere with, damage or disrupt any part of the Site, any equipment or network on which the Site is stored, any software used in the provision of the Site or any equipment or network or software owned or used by any third party.

If you breach any part of this section 8, you will compensate us for any loss or damage that we suffer as a result of your breach.

If you believe that any other user of the Site is using the Site in breach of this section 8 or any other provisions of these terms of use, please notify us by sending an email to [email protected] confirming the username of the offending user and details of the alleged breach.


Nothing in these terms of use excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury arising from our negligence, or our fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by English law.

The Site is provided by 3Beards on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all conditions, warranties, representations or other terms which may apply to the Site or any content on it, whether express or implied.

We will not be liable to any user of the Site for any loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, even if foreseeable, arising under or in connection with:

  • use of, or inability to use, the Site; or

  • use of or reliance on any content displayed on the Site.

Further, we will not be liable for:

  • loss of profits, sales, business, or revenue;

  • business interruption;

  • loss of anticipated savings;

  • loss or corruption of data, information or software;

  • loss of business opportunity, goodwill or reputation; or

  • any indirect or consequential loss or damage.

If you are using this Site as a jobseeker, we will not be liable for any loss of future earnings, anticipated savings or prospects.

We will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by a virus, distributed denial-of-service attack, or other technologically harmful material that may infect your computer equipment, computer programs, data or other proprietary material due to your use of the Site or to your downloading of any content on it, or on any website linked to it.

We do not accept liability for loss of any employer content.

Our liability in respect of any failure to perform the services in accordance with these terms shall be limited to the re-performance of the relevant part of the Services as far as is practicable.

We assume no responsibility for the content of websites linked on the Site. Such links should not be interpreted as endorsement by us of those linked websites. We will not be liable for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them.

To the extent 3Beards’ liability in respect of these terms of use is not excluded, 3Beards’ total aggregate liability to you in respect of all losses arising under or in connection with these terms, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise:

  • is, in the case of employers, limited to the total amount paid by the employer in the 12 months immediately preceding the act or omission giving rise to such liability; and

  • shall, in the case of jobseekers, in no circumstances exceed £50.


Jobseekers and employers need to be aware that this Site operates as a venue only and does not actively introduce or supply jobseekers to employers (or vice versa). We do not operate as an employment agency and therefore we are not subject to the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Business Regulations 2003 (the “Regulations”).

The Regulations seek to ensure that jobseekers are only proposed by employment agencies for roles for which they are properly qualified and that employers are only offered jobseekers who have the appropriate levels of experience, training, qualifications and authorisation for the position to be filled. Since we are only a venue and do not propose or introduce jobseekers to employers or vice versa, it is recommended that, if you are a jobseeker you undertake the necessary steps to ensure your suitability for the role advertised or, if you are an employer, to ensure a jobseeker’s suitability for the role.


These terms and conditions shall be interpreted in accordance with English law and all disputes shall be decided by the English courts.

In addition to the general terms of use above, the following terms and conditions apply to the use of the Site and services by employers (“Employer Terms”). In these Employer Terms:

“employer” or “you” means any person, company, organisation or firm that orders and/or purchases Services from us;

“Order Form” means an order for Services on a form provided by us (in any format) and signed by an employer; and

“Services” means the making available of the Site for the purpose of displaying job adverts in accordance with these terms of use from time to time.


We will not commence the provision of Services and no contract is formed until you have completed the job posting process including, where applicable, payment and agreeing to these terms of use, or, pursuant to any Order Form until the Order Form has been returned to us, in a form approved by us and confirmed by you by way of signature, e-mail confirmation or provision of a purchase order number and, in the case of employers who purchase Services on terms that require pre-payment, Services will not commence until payment is received.


Prices depend on the required service and the nature of the employer. The prices are specified on the Site and may be amended from time to time. Prices are guaranteed for the period stated on the Order Form.

A job posted the Site will remain live for 30 days or such shorter time as we agree with you. Any extension of this time will be charged to you as a new posting. A single job is identified by its unique ID number. If you delete a job and then either repost it or post another, this will be classed as two jobs.

You may request the removal of a job advert from the Site before the end of the period specified in the Order Form but shall not be entitled to any refund of fees.


All prices exclude VAT. Payment can be paid either:

  • via Stripe or another 3Beards payment platform which will be notified to you at point of payment and by proceeding with this method, you agree to any applicable terms; or

  • directly to 3Beards following the issuing of an invoice by such method as may be agreed by 3Beards. All invoices are payable within 7 days from invoice date. Late payment will entitle us to suspend provision of Services. Interest will be payable on late payments at the rate of 3% above the Bank of England base rate from time to time.


You agree that we may use your name, trademarks and logos (“IP Rights”) for the purposes of providing the Services.

Additionally you agree that we may mention you as a reference customer in 3Beards marketing materials (such as, but not limited to websites and newsletters), that we may use your IP Rights in this context and may present examples of the services provided to and the materials published on your behalf.


In order to use this Site as an employer, you will need to create an employer account by choosing a unique username and password which will enable you to access the employer only areas of the Site. You must treat these user credentials as confidential and must not disclose them to any third party. We have the right to disable your username and password at any time, if in our reasonable opinion we consider that you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these terms of use or if we reasonably believe it is being used by an unauthorised person.

If you know or suspect that anyone other than you knows your username and/or password, you must promptly notify us at [email protected].


Job adverts go live on the Site automatically after we receive payment confirmation or as otherwise agreed by us.You will be notified by email when your job advert has gone live on the Site.


We have rules regarding the content and format of job adverts posted on the Site. Their purpose is to ensure that users who search the Site get results which are presented as clearly and informatively as possible. You agree that we may, at our discretion and without liability to you, remove from the Site any advert which is posted in breach of these rules. The rules may change from time to time and you are advised to refer to them regularly. When using the Site you must ensure that:

  • your job advert particulars are accurate, honest and truthful;

  • your job advert does not use unnecessarily repeated words or phrases intended to cause a false positioning in search results seen by a jobseeker or to increase the number of page views; and

  • your job advert is for a genuine vacancy only, and not for other products or services, either relating to or unrelated to recruitment including, but not limited to, affiliate schemes, pyramid selling schemes or any other so called 'business opportunity'.


If your job advert includes a link to another website, you are responsible for maintaining the link and for the content of your advert and the linked website. We may remove from the Site any job advert which contains content or links to a website which, in our opinion, is defamatory, illegal, infringes the intellectual property rights of any person, or is objectionable or will bring us into disrepute. You will indemnify us from and against any claims or liability arising from content or links contained in your job advert.


Job adverts which appear to discriminate on grounds of sex, race or disability are illegal and may result in proceedings being taken against both the advertiser and the publisher. Adverts are accepted by us on the basis that you as the advertiser confirm that any requirement or qualification which may appear to discriminate illegally is in compliance with any exemption available under the relevant legislation. Notwithstanding this confirmation, if we nonetheless believe that an advert may be discriminatory we may at our discretion either amend the advert or remove it from the Site without any obligation to refund any amount paid or due to be paid in respect of the posting or otherwise, and will inform you accordingly.


You will only use CVs and person identifiable jobseeker information submitted via the Site for the purpose of finding employees to fill your vacancy(ies).

You will keep confidential and not supply or make available to any person CVs and personally identifiable jobseeker information that you receive from us or any jobseeker without the jobseeker’s express consent.

You will comply with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998 and other applicable data protection legislation as updated from time to time, and, in particular, will take all appropriate technical, organisational and security measures to prevent unauthorised access, loss and use of personal data relating to jobseekers.

We do not guarantee any response to your advert or that responses will be from individuals suitable for the job advertised. You accept that you are responsible for satisfying yourself as to the suitability of jobseekers for a job vacancy and verifying the identity of such jobseekers.

You agree to deal fairly and professionally with individuals who may respond to an advert you have posted and not do anything which may bring 3Beards into disrepute. You will indemnify us from and against any claim brought by an individual against 3Beards arising from your breach of this obligation.


When a breach of these terms of use has occurred, we may take such action as we deem appropriate, including (without limitation):

  • immediate, temporary or permanent withdrawal of your right to use the Site;

  • immediate, temporary or permanent deactivation of your account;

  • immediate, temporary or permanent removal of any job adverts posted on the Site; or

  • termination of our agreement with you.

If we deactivate your account, you may not create another account to gain access to the Site unless we give you permission in writing to do so.

You may terminate this agreement if we have breached this agreement and have not remedied that breach after a reasonable period from your notice to us specifying the breach.



In addition to the general terms of use above, the following terms and conditions apply to the use of the Site and services by jobseekers.


Job adverts contained on the Site are provided by prospective employers and are not reviewed by us. We accept no responsibility or liability for the contents of the job adverts. We therefore expect jobseekers to satisfy themselves as to the suitability of the job vacancy and the identity of the employer, and to carry out other such verification procedures as are customary and prudent in the circumstances before relying on information provided on the site in circumstances which may result in loss or damage.


Where an advert contains links to other websites and resources provided by third parties, including the employer, these links are provided for your convenience and information only. If you use these links, you will be leaving the Site and do so entirely at your own risk.

We have not reviewed all of these third party websites and resources and we do not control or have any responsibility for the contents or availability of these websites or resources. We therefore do not endorse or make any representations about them or any results that may be obtained from using them.

We encourage you to review the terms of use and privacy policy of any third party website which is linked to through the Site or contained in a job advert.


By submitting an application via the Site, the jobseeker agrees that:

  • the jobseeker has read and understood the requirements for the job vacancy;

  • the information that the jobseeker provides as part of the application (including without limitation, in any CV) is a true and accurate reflection of the jobseeker’s employment, education, experience and training and that the jobseeker’s personal details are correct.

If the Jobseeker submits any information in an application that is found to be false, we reserve the right to deny the Jobseeker access to the Site.

We do not share information in a jobseeker’s application other than with the relevant employer. Please see our Privacy Policy for more information about how we use and protect your data.

Jobseekers should note that applications are assessed by the relevant employer and all decisions relating to such applications are taken by the relevant employer and not by us. Accordingly, any requests for information relating to applications that have been made should be addressed to the employer directly.
