Location

Job description
o Designing, building, reviewing and maintaining highly usable codes and libraries;
o Writing and reviewing any software related documentation;

o Collaborating with third parties and integrating APIs into software;
o Integrate algorithms in the excel spreadsheet into the software;
o Integrating multiple data sources and databases into one system;
o Integrating UI elements with server side logic;
o Optimizing the product for maximum speed and scalability;
o Implementing security and data protection;

o Designing and implementing data storage solutions;

o Building automated testing platforms and unit tests;
o Running test cases and checking calculation results;

o Troubleshooting and debugging; and

o Setting up and administrating backups.

Key requirements
o 3+ years of experience in back-end development
o Team player
o Back-end web application development experience: Python and Node.js

o Experience building and deploying services on Amazon Web Services
o Knowledge of databases such as MongoDB
o Computer Science degree or related

Nice to have
o Strong mathematical skills

o Good project and time management skills

o Knowledge of REST API

o Knowledge of test-driven methodologies such as TDD or BDD

o Solid web fundamentals (HTTP, Cache, Security, Cookies, etc)
o Knowledge of web application security and vulnerabilities
o Experience interacting with external experts and connecting APIs into digital products


Salary range £32,000 — 72,000
