Who are Nested?
We are an ambitious new company with a track-record of startup success. We help people sell their property quickly without compromising on price, saving them months of stress and uncertainty. Currently a company of 15, we're looking to grow (responsibly) to 30 by the end of 2017. We've just secured some great backing (read more here) and are pouring this into growing our engineering team.
Nested is in the initial stages of its tech journey and you’ll be working in a small but growing software development team, helping develop and shape our code base, tech stack and overall product itself from day one. You’ll have the trust and autonomy to work creatively through solutions to problems, and we will expect and encourage you to experiment, innovate and adapt on new and existing features.
This role would be best suited to someone with several years of full stack/back end experience under their belt with a solid understanding of Ruby. You’ll also have a strong technical/ science based academic foundation and ideally had previous exposure to a high-growth start-up, but crucially your ambition will be to work in this kind of environment moving forward. Your attitude is as important as your skillset, and you’ll be a flexible and adaptable individual, who strives to constantly learn and improve, who will thrive off of the challenge of picking up new languages and systems, whilst re-prioritising against changing daily pressures.
You won’t be working in isolation here at Nested, so it’s important to be comfortable liaising with non technical internal and external stakeholders, to promote dialogue around software priorities.

Remuneration: Based on your experience, we'll make sure you have a healthy, competitive salary. You will also have the opportunity to be part of our option grant.

Learning: Budget towards training and learning, self development days, book clubs... We’ll do our bit to support your development. You will have ownership of your role, so by default you will be controlling the direction of your learning/ you’ll be constantly learning as the company and your job role progresses.
Office/ environment: At Nested HQ you’ll enjoy free breakfasts, a fancy coffee machine, break out areas, a sunny office terrace/garden, comfy desk area and an open plan set up. Salary range £55,000 — 70,000
