Winkel Games is a new Central London startup that has a clear strategy to develop and publish Hyper Casual Mobile Games. Winkel is starting from scratch with no pre-conditions and is therefore free to explore and implement a strategy that is best suited to delivering great Mobile Game products for a Global Audience.
Winkel is independently funded with a secure future to allow it to build its games portfolio and presence in the market.
Our Development team is on the lookout for a combined Back End Developer with DevOps experience to work as an integral member of the game team. The Engineering side of the role will be focussed on providing player and game-related services. Whilst the DevOps side of the role is responsible for managing authentication and other internal and external services.
The successful candidate will need strong, commercially proven experience developing APIs following proven patterns and coding styles and will be expected to work as part of an agile team maintaining the operation of the different platforms and building out new features. They will also be expected to participate in architectural design and planning.

Developing and maintaining essential gaming systems, providing new ideas to improve player experience and expand the current setup.
API management and design with support from the rest of the game team for the continued efficient running of our services.
Maintain and improve system automation and management tools
Monitor online services and taking necessary actions
Provide technical support and helping developers in debugging, troubleshooting.
Work with agile delivery teams to ensure build management, automated testing and software deployment
Knowledge and Experience
Online application development experience in a creative, data-driven industry.
Working with RESTful APIs
Modern source control and version management systems, including git
Simple Database design and operation
Working in a cloud environment
Proven experience in working in IT technical support and experience in supporting private or public cloud infrastructures, virtualized systems
System automation experience regarding deployment and configuration management.
Managing monitoring and alerting systems, central logging, log analytics, backup and archive solutions
Salary range £60,000 — 70,000
