Who we are
Humanising Autonomy is a London-based startup that is building a global standard of how autonomous systems will interact with people.
We are building a human intent prediction application that is able to recognise and predict pedestrian behaviour using computer vision and AI. The main application is in automated and autonomous vehicles, to improve the safety, efficiency, and pedestrian interaction in different urban environments around the world.
Our current partners include Airbus, Daimler-Mercedes Benz, Cisco and Kyocera, with whom, amongst others, we are working to deploy our technology globally at a large scale.
As employee number 11, you will be part of the core team and help build the foundation of the software stack, using computer vision to generate valuable information from data sources. You will help in creating deep learning architectures and models and eventually integrate them to create innovative decision-making systems for the major players in the autonomous revolution.
Your work will impact how autonomous systems will interact with people - a field whose relevance is rapidly expanding, and from which you can expect a fast-moving adventure! Your main responsibilities will include:
Developing and analysing deep learning and computer vision models
Developing evaluation metrics and model testing procedures
Working with data scientists / behavioural psychology teams to understand how insights can be applied to the deep learning models.
The role will involve large responsibility and autonomy within the company, and require the ability to work both independently as well as part of a core team of designers, data scientists, and engineers.
Experience working with computer vision
Hands-on experience with designing, developing and training deep learning networks with a standard deep learning framework (TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch…)
Programming languages: Python, preferably also C/C++
BSc/MSc/PhD degree with high level of Software Engineering (EE, CS) or industry experience showing a similar level of thinking.
What’s in it for you
Working with a great team of designers, engineers, and social scientists to shape the future!
Have a big say in how the Company runs itself.
Competitive salary & share options.
25 days holiday per annum + bank holidays
Guarantee lots of plants in the office.
