We are Ratio. We're a software company. We build applications and websites aimed at making things easier, quicker and/or more simple. We’ve made a designer underwear subscription service called Briefd, that enables gentlemen to automatically update their underwear drawers with zero effort. We’ve made an artificial intelligence engine called Remora, that figures out when web visitors get bored and changes their online experience to make it more interesting. We’ve also made a jargon-free, easy-to-use price comparison website called Choose Wisely, that makes it easy to compare important things.
We’re looking for a commercially focused data analyst to own to provide data led intelligence and be an agent of constant change - a bit like a cross between Q and James Bond. The role will require you to work from Ratio HQ in Bournemouth as part of our Commercial Team. This brand new role will require you to establish a basis of measurement for everything from app/site usability, digital marketing, customer insight, system performance to productivity and financial performance. Once you’ve established that basis of measurement you’ll need the execute a process of review and improvement, and play a fundamental role in driving the business forward.
We are obsessed with numbers and as you can most likely tell, we anticipate that this role will become the beating heart at the centre of our business. You will draw data from a variety of 3rd party services including but not limited to Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Xero, Optimizely, HotJar, Shopify and Stripe, as well as internal systems created using a variety of technologies, including Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB and ElasticSearch. You will use that data to analyse and model, then communicate your findings and recommendations to the business, working alongside our engineers, creatives, marketers and senior execs.
The role is suitable for someone who has just graduated and is looking to utilise statistical analysis skills developed as a core part of their course, but is equally suitable for someone who a few years of experience post-graduation in a similar role. This is an entirely new role and we are prepared to be flexible, so if your skill set and / or experience doesn’t match the specification exactly but you think you’ll be great at it, please do apply and tell us why you’re the one for the job. Salary range £25,000 — 30,000
