The Company

Sideways 6 exists to build better businesses through employee ideas. We believe that great ideas can come from anywhere and that giving employees a voice is the secret to business success.

Our company was founded in 2014 and has employees in London and Minsk, and its product is used by iconic global companies such as British Airways, Centrica, Kingfisher, Sainsbury’s, and AstraZeneca. These companies and others like them use our product to become more agile and innovative, find new revenue streams, reduce costs, make people happier and implement better ways of working.

We’re proud of our 5-star reviews on Glassdoor and it’s testament to the way we’re having fun and achieving goals at the same time. Everyone’s given responsibility, room to grow and develop, and the chance to be part of something special. The Idea Beer probably helps too…

The Role

We’re looking for a talented, ambitious UX Designer to own the UX and UI of our app. The ideal candidate should have an eye for beautiful, clean design, be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artefacts and transform them into attractive, intuitive, functional user interfaces.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Happy to embrace an “Own it” culture that encourages team members to take initiative and make things happen
  • Passionate about modern UX approaches, methodologies and processes

As a UX designer at Sideways 6, you will collaborate with Product Owners, CSM, clients, and other stakeholders to create new functionality. You will:

  • Own the UX process and engage other stakeholders as needed
  • Take ownership of the user personas
  • Help define user goals and find solutions for them
  • Create user flows, wireframes, and UI mockups
  • Test proposed solutions with users
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, UX best practices and standards

  • Proficiency in Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, Axure, or similar tools
  • Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
  • Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
  • Experience with SaaS/B2B a plus

What do I get?

  • An open and vibrant startup environment
  • Your own learning budget to help you grow
  • An entrepreneurial culture with access to every part of a growing company
  • Frequent team events and annual company get-together
