Daye is a pre-launch female health technology startup. We’re developing a platform for women to take control of their health through improved products and services. We exist at the intersection between physical and digital products.
We are a team of 11 based in South London and have raised over £7M from top tier venture capital firms in San Francisco and London.
About the Role
You will work closely with Hannah, our Director or Operations, to scale manufacturing and create efficiencies as our customer base grows.
The role will involve setting up, optimising and scaling our manufacturing. Daye is committed to increasing the standards in female health products. Our innovative products demand that we produce our own machines, which we are now ready to scale from prototype to industrial versions. Daye is committed to improving the standard in tampon manufacturing and as such we are creating new manufacturing processes in the industry.
The role will involve managing relationships with key machinery suppliers from the fast moving goods category.
Further to this - manufacturing will be monitored using a Quality Management System (QMS). The role will involve continuously updating the QMS, as well as ensuring adherence to regulatory compliance standards and managing documentation for audit.
You will also be responsible for hiring and managing a team of production workers and scaling the team as needs grow.
As with all start-ups, the role will involve more than the job description and we are looking for someone who is willing to roll-up their sleeves. We are looking for self-starters, learners, and problem-solvers that feel comfortable operating under ambiguity and short deadlines.
What you will accomplish:
Set-up high speed manufacturing;
Optimise and scale manufacturing as necessary;
Create and manage a Quality Management System;
Ensure regulatory compliance;
Manage relationships with key manufacturing machine supplier;
Build and manage a production team;
Create new standards in the industry.
At least 5 years of production experience (preferably in a regulated industry);
Have set-up high-speed manufacturing before;
Have worked in ambiguous environments;
Excellent relationship management and communication skills;
Shows outstanding attention to detail;
Passionate about women’s health care and bringing innovative products to market;
An interest in environmental sustainability;
Comfortable with ambiguity; you enjoy figuring out what needs to be done—and doing it;
