Project Manager for Hack Partners
Hack Partners are leading technology driven improvements in the UK, starting with the transport industry. We’re leading this effort through our flagship movement, the HackTrain by delivering hackathons, running fast paced technology trials and providing management consultancy services. The HackTrain has become well recognised for being an incredibly powerful medium for solving the industry's biggest challenges improving operational efficiency and customer experience. The movement is supported by the Department for Transport, government ministers and the UK’s biggest train operating companies.

Your role will be to manage the various projects the Hack Partners team are delivering by providing structure and process during what will be a busy and exciting time. The role will be incredibly varied as you will be managing multiple projects each with different deadlines, stakeholders and outcomes. Opportunities include some of the following:
Our “TRIAL” framework provides a great opportunity to test new technology based solutions in just 3-6 months as opposed to the industry standard of 6-18.
Though often short 3-4 month projects, our technology, data, and management consultancy services make a big difference to the thinking and future operations of our clients due to the high-impact nature of the work we carry out.
Our hackathons provide a chance to see the next wave of innovators in action where they create new prototypes solving critical challenges in just 48-hours.
Day to day management of the projects will have you constantly engaging with multiple stakeholders including: our clients, tech startups and the Hack Partners team.

You will be at the heart of a truly unique movement that will have a massive impact within the UK economy. Here are some examples of what you will be doing:
Creating processes and operational plans for delivering our trials, consultancy services, and events - these will mainly be using a combination of Asana, Instagantt and Spreadsheets. | 10%
Leading weekly sprints and daily stand ups for the company enabling the team to execute on short term tasks that allow the the company to achieve its long term goals | 20%
Managing multiple technology consulting projects, through engaging with clients, allocating tasks, tracking progress and ensuring all parties are aligned with goals. | 60%
Developing new frameworks that allow our startups and the transport industry to onboard innovation faster | 10%
Skills and experience desired:
Pro-active individual with strong support and teamwork experience
Ability to create processes and improve existing ones
Ability to work autonomously in a rapidly changing environment
Strong understanding of and passion for technology and early stage companies
Experience in managing projects with external facing clients
Bachelor’s degree or higher
2-5 years work experience
Experience in a startup, early-stage investment or technology context
Good attention to detail; we want someone enjoys making things great!

Salary range £32,000 — 50,000
